Meeting at Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre the Women’s Cycling Group will head out into North Edinburgh, along safe routes and led by two Cycling Scotland trained leaders.
One from Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre and the other from Edinburgh and Lothian Greenspace Trust (ELGT).
Bring your waterproof/suncream if it’s looking damp/ sunny and a wee water bottle. We will provide hot drinks and a wee snack for our break half way.

A guided walk around Lauriston Castle with Emily rom ELGT and her collection of Nordic Walking sticks. Learn how to move swiftly and easily with the aid of these sticks and get a good workout in the grounds of the historic castle.

A local walk spotting, snapping and appreciating local nature through the lens. Perfectly fine to use your mobile phone camera as these lenses are amazing these days.

Led by a National Galleries of Scotland expert we will be walking around the grounds of Dean Gallery, aka Mod 2 looking at sculptures and learning about their origins.

Come and join us in this screening of the film released earlier this year. Tackling questions about land ownership, public access and right to roam, illegal in England, but legal since 2005 in Scotland this film presents first hand experience from both landowners and activists alike.

Every first Monday of the month the Drylaw Pickers meet up at the Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre with loads of gear and pick up everything in site in our chosen area. We have trollies, pickers, hoops and a buggy.
We have also been known to wipe off graffiti tags with our magic wipes.
It’s really fun so come and join us for the craik and the good feels afterwards and then reward yourself with a free lunch back at the Centre.
All ages welcome. Well behaved dogs on leads.

This cycle excursion will start at Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre, 67b Groathill Rd North, Edinburgh EH4 2SA at 10am. This trip will take us along the North Edinburgh cycle paths along the Water of Leith to Coalie Park https://edinburghwheels.co.uk/coalie-park/ where we will look at the mini-skate park and nature restoration project. The route is almost entirely on cyclepaths.
Women only group for cycling support, fun outings and adventures to new places. Led by Cycling Scotland trained cycle leaders from Drylaw NC and Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust.
You would need to bring your own bicycle, either push bike or e-bike. If you need to borrow a bicycle do get in touch with Natalie by the Wed before the date, to arrange to borrow an e- bike (EH4 residents only) or borrow a pushbike from Dr Bike.
We generally provide a hot drink and a snack at our planned easy level 1.5 hour cycles with a sit down break half way.

Rebellion is the first feature-length documentary to tell the behind-the-scenes story of Extinction Rebellion, following a group of unlikely allies as they come together to confront the climate and ecological emergency. Rebellion follows the journey of XR co-founders as well as Farhana Yamin, an international lawyer who played a key role in negotiating the Paris Climate Agreement, as she decides to break the law for the first time in her life.
Screening starts at 18.00, ends at 20.00 followed by group discussion.
Suggested donation for tickets £5-£10.
